నాగార్జున యూనివర్సిటీ విద్యార్ధిని రిషితేశ్వరి ఆత్మహత్య విషయంలో నిజా నిజాలు తెలుసుకోకుండా ఆ కేసులో ముఖ్యమంత్రి కులం వారికి ప్రమేయం ఉందని, అందువలనే కేసును నీరుకార్చుతున్నారని, నిందితులపై చర్యలు తీసుకోవటం లేదని రకరకాల  విష ప్రచారం చేసిన వైసిపి వర్గాలు ముఖ్యంగా రోజా రెడ్డి, జగన్ రెడ్డి మొదలైన వారు కమ్మ కులం అని పేరు పెట్టి మరీ అసత్య ప్రచారం చేయటమే కాకుండా నాగార్జున యూనివర్సిటీ లో ఆందోళన నిర్వహించి ఉద్యమాలు చేసారు, బంద్ నిర్వహించారు.

కాని నిజ నిర్ధారణలో తేలిందేమిటంటే రోజా రెడ్డి, జగన్ రెడ్డి ప్రచారం చేసినట్లుగా రిషితేశ్వరి రాసుకున్న డైరీ లో ముఖ్యమంత్రి కులం విద్యార్ధులు ఎవ్వరికీ  ఆమెను వేధించిన సంఘటనతో సంబంధం లేదని రుజువైన తరువాత  ఇలా ఒక కులంపై నిందలు మోపి అసత్య ప్రచారం చేసినందుకు కనీసం బహిరంగ క్షమాపణ కూడా చెప్పలేని రోజా రెడ్డి, జగన్ రెడ్డి లు తమ కుసంస్కారాన్ని, కులతత్వాన్ని నిస్సిగుగా బయటపెట్టుకున్నారు. తన బ్లాగులో "కమ్మ పిచాచులు " అని నీచంగా సంభోదించి ఆ తరువాత నిజం తెలుసుకున్న మరో చిల్లర వెధవ 'నమస్తే తెలంగాణా' ఎడిటర్ 'కట్టా శేఖర రెడ్డి' బహిరంగ క్షమాపణ చెప్పి కొంతవరకు నయం అనిపించుకున్నాడు.

ఇటివల జరిగిన  ప్రకాశం జిల్లా తాళ్లూరు మండలం కొత్తపాలేనికి చెందిన బీటెక్‌ విద్యార్థిని కాటం అనూష ఆత్మహత్య కేసులో దర్శి మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే, వైసీపీనేత, బివియస్సార్ ఇంజనీరింగ్‌కళాశాల చైర్మన్‌ బూచే పల్లి సుబ్బారెడ్డిని సోమవారం పోలీసులు అరెస్టు చేశారు. ఆ కళాశాల అధ్యాపకుడు మాలకొండారెడ్డిని కూడా అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు. అనూష ఆత్మహత్య విషయం ఇంతవరకు ప్రతిపక్ష నాయకుడు జగన్ రెడ్డి దృష్టికి కాని, రోజా రెడ్డి దృష్టికి కానీ రాలేదా? ఈ విషయం పై వీరి వైఖరి ఏమిటో ఏ రకమైన ఆందోళనలు నిర్వహిస్తారో ప్రజలకు తెలియచేయాలి. లేని పక్షంలో వీళ్ళు కేవలం ఒక కులం వారి ప్రయోజనాలు కాపాడుతూ ఇతర కులాల వారిపై బురద చల్లే కుహనా, కుళ్ళు రాజకీయ నాయకులుగా మాత్రమే మిగిలి పోతారు .

రాజకీయం అంటే పక్కలెయ్యటమో, పక్కలెక్కటమో కాదని, ఒక కులం వాడెవడైనా తప్పు చేస్తే ఆ తప్పు ఆ కులం వారికి మొత్తం పులమకూడదని, తప్పు చేసిన ఏ వెధవనైనా కులాభిమానంతో  వెనకేసుకురాకూడదని, ముఖ్యంగా నేరగాళ్లకు కులం ఆపాదించటం మంచికాదని "బూతుల రోజా రెడ్డి" గుర్తుంచుకోవాలి. 

తొలి చిత్రం విడుదలకు ముందే రికార్డులు సృష్టిస్తున్న సిసింద్రి 'అఖిల్ అక్కినేని'

పేస్ బుక్ లైక్స్ విషయంలో 'సిసింద్రి అఖిల్' ఆదరగొడుతున్నాడు. హీరోగా నటించిన మొదటి చిత్రం ఇంకా రిలీజ్ కాకముందే నేటి యువతరం హీరోలకు ఎవ్వరికీ లేనంత మంది అభిమానులను సంపాదించుకున్నాడు. ఇప్పటివరకు పేస్ బుక్ లో అఖిల్ అక్కినేనిని అభిమానించిన వారి సంఖ్య  8,86,678. చిత్రమేమిటంటే ఎనిమిది సంవత్సరాలనుండి సిని రంగంలో ఉన్న అక్కినేని నాగచైతన్యకు పేస్ బుక్ అభిమానుల సంఖ్య కేవలం 1,63,513 మాత్రమే, 28 సంవత్సరాలుగా హీరోగా వెలుగుతున్న తండ్రి నాగార్జునకున్న పేస్ బుక్ అభిమానుల సంఖ్య 12,00,716. ఈ లెక్కన చూస్తే అఖిల్ అక్కినేని తన మొదటి సినిమా రిలీజ్ ముందే తన తండ్రి అభిమానుల సంఖ్యను దాటిపోవటం ఖాయంగా కనిపిస్తుంది. కథానాయకుడిగా తన మొదటి సినిమా ఇంకా విడుదల కాకముందే పేస్ బుక్ లో ఇంతమంది అభిమానులను సంపాదించుకోవటం నిజంగా పెద్ద రికార్డే. 

ఆశ్చర్యకరమైన విషయం ఏమిటంటే హీరో నాని కి 31,36,406 మంది, హీరో మహేష్ బాబు 30,48,224, జూనియర్ యన్టిఆర్ 17,58,195 కంటే ఎక్కువ మంది పేస్ బుక్ అభిమానులున్నారు. మోహన్ బాబు సంతానంలో తమ్ముళ్ళ కంటే అక్కకే ఎక్కువ మంది పేస్ బుక్ అభిమానులున్నారు. మంచు లక్ష్మికి 11,20,969, మనోజ్ కు 8,39,848, విష్ణుకు కేవలం 1,07,633 అభిమానులు మాత్రమె ఉన్నారు. వారసత్వ నేపధ్యంలేని నేటి యువతరం చిన్న హీరోల్లో మూల్పూరి నాగ శౌర్య కు అత్యధికంగా 1,32,544 మంది పేస్ బుక్ అభిమానులున్నారు. 

Panda Shivalinga Prasad elected to Alberta State (Canada) Assembly

The first provincial byelection since NDP Rachel Notley’s victory in Alberta goes to the conservative Wildrose party.

The third time was the charm for Shivalinga Prasad Panda as he won the Calgary-Foothills (Alberta - Canada) byelection on Thursday, delivering a major breakthrough for the Wildrose Party — and the first major blow to Premier Rachel Notley’s NDP.

Shivalinga Prasad was born at Sangam Jagarlamudi village in Guntur district. He studied Intermediate at AG & SG College in Vuyyur and obtained engineering degree from Siddharhta Engineering College at Vijayawada.

Panda, who ran and lost for Wildrose in the 2012 and 2015 provincial elections, took an early lead over the NDP’s Bob Hawkesworth and held it as the votes rolled in throughout the night, eventually winning by 1,607 votes over his nearest opponent.

With all 66 polls reporting, Panda had captured 38 per cent of the vote, with Hawkesworth trailing at 26 per cent. Progressive Conservative Blair Houston was close behind in third place with 22 per cent of the votes cast.

Panda, a 50-year-old senior manager at Suncor who edged out two other candidates for the Wildrose nomination, positioned his party in the campaign as defenders of Alberta jobs.

Ruthvika Shivani Gadde, win Junior International Badminton Championship

Pune, Sep 7: India’s No-1 Junior player Ruthvika Shivani Gadde clinched the women’s singles title at the Sushant Chipalkatti Memorial India Junior International Badminton Championships here. Top seed Ruthvika thrashed Thailand’s Supamart Mingchua, seeded second, 21-9 21-6 in just 26 minutes. 

Tech Guru: Raja Koduri

The Telugu makers of the epic Indian fantasy film Baahubali knew that they would need the most modern technologies and tonnes of processing power. To that effect they found another Telugu man who could bring their dreams of massive computers to life. Raja Koduri, corporate vice-president of Visual Computing at AMD, made Baahubali possible from behind the screens and who is making the Virtual Reality experience of the film possible on VR headsets like Oculus Rift. Koduri has a Master of Technology degree from IIT Kharagpur and started his career at S3 Inc. As AMD’s chief technology officer of Graphics Product Group  and as a director of the Advanced Technology Development, Koduri is credited with making the company a worldwide leader in graphics products. He left AMD in 2009 to join Apple to lead their Graphics Architecture team as a Director and helped the company develop very efficient graphics chips Now back at AMD, he is spearheading the company in becoming a major player in the Virtual Reality revolution.

Triple delight for Pullela Gayatri

Kalaburagi: Gayatri Pullela, daughter of national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand, clinched three titles in the All-India Sub-junior ranking badminton tournament here on Sunday.

Gayatri won the singles title in the girls’ under-15 and under-13 categories as well the doubles crown in the under-13 section.

Unseeded in the U-15 category, Gayatri rallied from an opening game loss to defeat seventh-seeded Malvika Bansod of Maharashtra 15-21, 23-21, 21-8. 

Top seed in under-13 singles, Gayatri was too good for Samiya Farooqui Imad, defeating the second seed 21-10, 21-17. Gayatri then teamed up with Vaishnavi Reddy Jakka to beat Simran Singhi and Ritika Thaker 16-21, 21-15, 21-19 in the under-13 doubles final and complete a fine treble.
