Maganti Ankineedu: Freedom fighter and Ex. MP


Maganti Ankineedu (Born 1 January 1915, Died 8 September 2008) was born to Shri M. Venkata Ram Das at Tamirisa, Krishna District, January 1, 1915. He was educated at Hindu College, Machilipatnam. He married Smt. Saradamba.  Maganti Ankineedu was agriculturist, He participated in the Indian independence movement and imprisoned twice during the Civil Disobedience Movement and the Quit India Movement.  He was President, (i) Gudivada Taluk Congress Committee and (ii) Krishna D.C.C (1946-50) Executive Member, Andhra P.C.C., President - Harijan Sevak Samaj, East Krishna District, Director, Andhra Bank Ltd.; Member, (i) T.T.D. Board, and (ii) Coffee Board; Life Member, Bharat Krishak Sevak Samaj; worked on many Committees of Central and State Governments; Chairman, Zila Parishad, Krishna District 1962. Member, Sixth Lok Sabha, 1977-1980 and Seventh Lok Sabha, 1980-84; Member Committee on Public Undertakings; presently Member, Committee on Subordinate Legislation; Leader of ail Agricultural Delegation, U.S.A.. 1967
